shop stuff

Despite my lack of updates on the shop, I am working really hard making stuff, and I've got a big project under wraps that I'm not ready to unveil yet!

This is just some of the stuff I've been working on. There is more, but these are some of my favorites.

I'm really loving these bottle cap beads from MN artist Cathy Collison of Glass Garden Beads.

I would love to figure out how to make them myself because I think they just give a great punch of color and vintage charm, yet they are still classy because they don't look like bottle caps.

Anyways, if you see anything you want to purchase right now, feel free to contact me at chelseajeannejewelry@gmail.com, otherwise you will have to wait until my big project is completed!

Tomorrow I will have an awesome soup recipe for you. It's a recipe that we have been using in my family since I was a kid, and it's a great way to combat the winter chill!

Shop Stuff!

Here's some recent supplies I purchased and hope to work with soon.

pink coral smooth brioletteslapis lazuli rod beads

I would really like to make some bold jewelry, and I'm trying to find different shapes to use rather than plain old round beads, which are my usual stand by. I think after the holidays are over I will go on a vintage exploring trip and find some new pieces to break up and refurbish.

Here is my current supply wishlist! I'm really digging on pearls lately, but I love drops and rods because its a modern twist on a vintage classic. So pretty!

pearl drops from karmel kisses
long rod shape freshwater pearl from sunbijoux
glossy twist faceted prehnite briolettes from sweet earth gems
hot pink rutilated quartz from bela brazilian gems
peruvian blue chalcedony briolettes from modern metals
phantom quartz teardrop pendant from alicediy

Jewelry!

I'm finally going to post about my jewelry, which was the whole reason I started this blog!

I've been making jewelry for about a year now, and I guess I would consider myself a novice still, but it's something I really enjoy doing. I've always been into art and creative things such as cross stitching, painting, graphic design, interior design, fashion, etc... but making jewelry has been one of the things that I have really stuck with. I'm one of those people that almost never finishes anything she starts, so it's a big deal for me to continue something for an entire year.

Most of my jewelry involves some bit of vintage incorporated into it, but lately I have been working with semi precious gemstones and working with different color combinations. I really love colorful jewelry with simple details. My jewelry is meant to be versatile, so you can wear it with jeans or a nice dress.

Here are some new pieces, and some pendants I am excited to be working with but have not put together into a piece yet.
